PAWS Chicago Rescue Mission Will Help Save Homeless Pets Displaced by the Midwest Floods

PAWS Chicago is happy to announce we have found homes for all the animals saved from the first rescue mission to the Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Quincy, Illinois flood affected areas. There are still many more animals left homeless because of the Quincy floods, and PAWS Chicago is committed to continuing our flood relief efforts.

On Sunday, July 13, volunteers will make another trip to Quincy and will be bringing back more homeless dogs. The dogs will be available for adoption at our Adoption & Humane Center on Friday, July 18.

How Can I Help?

Volunteer!
As with all of PAWS Chicago’s life-saving work, we are in need of volunteers willing to give of their time for this mission. If you are interested in volunteering your help with these animals, please email shosemann@pawschicago.org.

Adopt!
If you are thinking about adopting a pet, now is the time! The more caring adopters that step forward, the more animals we can save. PAWS Chicago does not plan to stop or slow down our daily transports of homeless pets from Chicago Animal Care & Control so we need adopters to
step forward to get these animals into caring homes quickly.

Dogs from the Midwest Rescue Mission will be available at the PAWS Chicago Adoption & Humane Center, located at 1997 N. Clybourn Avenue, starting on Friday, July 18 at 12 p.m.

Spread the Word!
Animals are just as affected by natural disasters as people. Please tell your friends, family and colleagues that homeless pets are suffering due to this tragedy. Let them know there are ways they can help make a difference! Volunteering, adopting or making an in-kind or monetary donation helps PAWS Chicago continue life-saving work.
