Skip

Skip is a courageous, 1-year-old Pit Bull Terrier mix who was turned into Animal Control as a stray in July. After being transferred to PAWS, this poor guy was diagnosed with parvo, pneumonia, and giardia; although his future looked grim, Skip began to thrive with round-the-clock care from PAWS vets, and lots of attention from dedicated volunteers. The vet who oversaw Skip’s care called him “an amazing dog with an extraordinary will to live,” and noted that he was “an absolute pleasure to treat.”

By September, Skip was back on his feet and has since been microchipped, vaccinated, and neutered. Today, Skip is a healthy dog who is not on any medications, and is looking forward to many years with his new family. According to his previous foster family (who said that Skip “stole their hearts”), he enjoys riding in the car, playing fetch with tennis balls, and romping around outside with other dogs. At 50 lbs., he is an athletic pup who can keep up with pretty much any outdoor activity. He loves to give kisses and would be happy to spend most of the day snuggling with his humans. Skip is usually very quiet in the house, but he does love to chase squirrels and bunnies when outside.

With his outgoing personality and inspiring story, this brave boy has made lots of friends along his journey– but now what he needs is a family to call his own.
Will you welcome Skip into your heart and home?
