Peggy Sue

Meet Peggy Sue! This cutie pie came to PAWS in early March after she had been turned into Animal Control as a stray. Poor Peggy was very underweight when she arrived and was suffering from pneumonia. Luckily, with the help of PAWS vets and volunteers she has made a full recovery and looks forward to a long and healthy life!

Peggy has an underbite which gives her an especially cute smile. She currently weighs about 46 pounds and should be full-grown at about 1-year-old. Peggy is an affectionate girl who likes to snuggle and give kisses. She’s also good with other dogs who have a similar size and energy level. She does like to chase tennis balls as you can see in her video, but she hasn’t yet caught on to the retrieving aspect of fetch.

Peggy Sue is an energetic girl who likes to work hard and play hard. She knows sit and is currently working with volunteers on mastering “stay”. Peggy loves her training sessions, which is good because even though she is pretty well-mannered on a leash, she could use more practice. Peggy loves treats and takes them very politely from your fingers. Because Peggy can be rambunctious when excited, a home with kids 10+ is recommended at this stage in her training.

Peggy Sue will bring so much joy and laughter to her new home! Will you give her a chance?
