Renfield (PAWS Name Orangie)

Hi Jamie,

Orangie is doing great.  At first he was a bit shy but liked sleeping in my bed.  He is a great mouser and I named him for a cat we had when I was a child – Renfield.
Renfield, like his namesake is a great hunter and loves to hunt toy mice, hair rollers, laser pointer lights and almost anything else.

When I got him he was head shy and wouldn’t let us touch his head.  Now he is all over everyone.  When new people come into the home he immediately comes to them and rubs up against their legs.  My aunt came from Boston and I told her he was shy.  She walked into the house and Renfield acted like they were long lost buddies.

He spent part of the summer visiting is fellow adoptee – Carl.  Carl’s family has air conditioning and during the hottest part of the summer I spent time there with Renfield.  He fell in love with Carl and the two of them groom each other and take turns with the cat toys.  I am attaching a picture of Renfield with Carl.

He is a wonderful cat and we instantly bonded.

Thank you to everyone at PAWS for saving this wonderful pet.

Sincerely
Kristin and Renfield (Orangie)
