Polly

We did adopt Polly from PAWS, however we adopted her in September of last year,  not August. When we adopted her, she had just given birth to puppies (that were not found with her), she was still lactating,  and she had a severe ear infection, was underweight, and was missing a few teeth. We were a bit concerned, however soon learned that we had nothing to worry about. The transition was extremely smooth, we were delighted to find out that she was house trained and had clearly come from a home with rules. We bonded immediately, and she has had zero issues in terms of food aggression, behavior, or anything health related.

To say she has brought joy to our life, would be an extreme understatement. We absolutely, positively adore her. She was initially very timid, and scared of any loud noises or closed doors but she is now an extremely happy well adjusted dog, that craves human contact. While she still suffers from separation anxiety, she has gotten better, and has grown to be extremely comfortable around strangers. And often times, these said strangers are SHOCKED to know that she is a rescue dog, we are constantly being asked “Who would ever abandon something that cute?!?!”

I have taken a thousand pictures of her, however I have attached my three favorites. Please feel free to use them, all I ask is that you let me know!

Thank you so much for all that you do. We wish we could adopt from PAWS again and again.
