Hi there,
I would love to share Melody’s story w/ all of PAWS! I started volunteering with PAWS in April of 2012, after I had to put down my awesome cat, Fred, due to a virus. I met Melody while volunteering in Kitty CIty one day, and I was captured by her huge golden eyes and gentle personality. I asked if I could foster her on a trial basis, to see if she would get along our older resident cat. We waited the whole month period, but I knew I wanted to adopt her on day one! We made it official by adopting her earlier in September. We considered changing her name, but decided that Melody fits her adorable, bubbly disposition. My boyfriend and I are both music lovers, so that deemed appropriate as well! Outside the adoption center, her playful personality shines! She has an expressive meow that greets us at the door when we come home, that lets us know when it’s time for play, and when it’s time for cuddling. At just over a year old, she’s still full of kitten who loves to chase toys like the laser pointer, “the bird” and the cat dancer wire toy. While she’s not much of a lap cat, I often find her next to me, purring loudly when I’m either working on my laptop or watching TV in bed. I am so happy to have little Melody in my life. I’m looking forward to having a long life together.
Cheers,
Caitlin
