Kiwi (PAWS Name Rudolph)

Sorry about the delayed response!  To put it shortly, we’re just thrilled.  We adopted our dog as Rudolph back in January, and renamed him Kiwi.  He’s been wonderful to us.  He’s proven to be completely house trained, and he adjusted to living with us very quickly.  Because he is very excitable around other dogs, we’ve taken a few private lessons, and are joining a group lesson this week.  We hope that the lessons will help his barking around other dogs when we go on walks.  But we’re not complaining about his progress — he can sit, stay, down, come, and shake on command!

When it’s too cold to go outside for long, Kiwi is a hug fan of playing tug and tag with my husband.  And when we’re outside, he absolutely loves to run, which is great for me because so do I (although not as fast as him!).  I’m planning to run the Chicago marathon in the fall, and running with Kiwi 2-3 times a week is great motivation to get faster!

Here’s our most recent photo of the little guy.  We’re incredibly pleased with our experience with PAWS — a huge thanks to the volunteers that made the adoption process so special.

Best,

Anna
