Greetings!  I am sending an email to update everyone at PAWS about our adoption of Lavalier, the best kitten EVER.

I let my husband (who is slightly allergic to cats) name her, and of course he changed her name to Indiana Jones. We call her Indy, and we are both completely in love with her. For a while, because of my husband’s allergies, we didn’t let her sleep in our bed at night. She would cry a few times during the night, and I felt so guilty about how cold our apartment is that I bought her a heated kitty bed. She wouldn’t sleep in it at first, but I put one of my hoodies in it and now it’s her favorite place to sleep in the apartment (except for our bed of course).

I went on a weekend trip in January and my husband felt too guilty about shutting her out of the bedroom, so Indy has been sleeping with us ever since. I think she’s just glad that she’s training us so well. I am attaching a picture of her in her heated kitty bed. She slept here while we watched the Superbowl, and I took advantage of the time and her bizzare position by trimming her claws.

Indy loves to play and she is the most talkative cat I have ever met. She chirps all of the time and sometimes even seems to think we are having a conversation. She also has started to play fetch with her mouse toys! Needless to say, she is a fantastic addition to our family and we couldn’t be happier.

Thank you so much PAWS for rescuing her and allowing her to be a member of our family! Thank you for everything you do for all the animals.
