Fergus (PAWS Name Speck)

Fergus (previously Specks) was at home the moment he walked in our door. He was a little out of it when we met him that Christmas Eve morning, we though maybe it was from his neutering, but now we know that’s just how he is when you wake him from his puppy slumbers. So when he came home he jumped around and was excited to smell everything in his new home, including the cat… Tabatha has learned to tolerate the pup and there are even quite moments when we all nap on the sofa together, so their friendship is moving in the right direction. Fergus is learning to not pee on the floor, but just to be safe the rug will be rolled up for the next 6 months or so. He has been super spoiled by his new mom and dad, most days he has a parent at home with him, with our opposite schedules. He’s just now getting the hang of taking a walk. We’ve been on two. He’s told us that he does not like buses or driveways or traffic, so we will stick to the side streets. He clearly liked these 2 walks because he was the king of the block, we couldn’t walk 10 feet without someone fussing all over how cute he was! I think his new best friend is the Streetwise man at the CVS with treats in his pocket. We love our new family member and will let everyone know we’re they can rescue a pup of their own.

Thanks so much!
Fergus, Rick & Sarah
