Elektra (PAWS Name Angie)

Hi!

Thanks so much for checking in.

It’s hard to believe that it’s only been two months since we got Elektra (PAWS name: Angie)- she is such an ingrained member of our family. Kyle is an arts critic and we are opera lovers, so we named her for the Greek heroine and opera of the same name. When we leave her alone in her crate, she always listens to opera or classical music, which she seems to prefer over rock!

Elektra is doing very well- she is always happy, always curious and probably has more friends in the neighborhood than we do! We go to the dog park almost every night and sometimes twice a day on weekends. She especially enjoys playing and rough-housing with dogs much bigger than her own 37 lbs., including a 110 lb. bull mastiff! Around the house, she likes napping on her back and watching TV and playing ball and especially meal times. At night, she seems to think she is a lap dog and crawls up on the couch with us but still prefers her crate to anything else.

She had her first road trip with a us a few weeks ago to visit family in Madison, WI. She got to attend a few barbecues and barked at the horses coming down the street during a parade.

Elektra is a real joy and we get compliments all the time on how beautiful and sweet she is. We recommend PAWS to everyone and are looking forward to attending obedience training with K9 University at PAWS in a few weeks.

Thanks again for treating her so well and introducing her to us!

p.s. Attached are two photos: One is the photo that our vet, Metropolitan Veterinary Center, took for their Facebook page. The second was taken with us on our trip to Madison.
