Annie and Jack (PAWS Names Lalo and Lulu)

Hi Paws! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Jack and Annie (formerly Lalo and Lulu) just celebrated their first Christmas at home. The three of us traveled for Christmas, staying at our Dad’s home with the whole family. That included 5 people, 2 dogs, and another cat, making us like a modern day Noah’s Ark. Jack and Annie did great. I am happy to report that we didn’t lose any ornaments off of the tree, and no climbing attempts (at least that I witnessed). The cats get along well with my Dad’s cat Sophie, and the three kitties are quite a group that love to play together.
The kitties co-exist well with the dogs too. We have two big dogs, a yellow lab that belongs to my Dad, and a golden retriever belonging to my sister. They all did great. Not too much playing between the species, but a general calm and no aggression made for a peaceful and happy holiday.
Jack got a laser pointer for christmas, which he cannot get enough of. Annie got a crazy cat circle toy, and both received kitty cubes to play in and some treats. They are looking forward to getting back home and playing with them.
Jack has developed quite a curiosity for water, which has rendered him wet more than a couple times, which he obviously hates. He loves to jump into the shower or sink, and never seems to remember that he doesn’t like to be splashed until it happens. Annie, my much more calm and dainty little lady, loves to watch her brother get into trouble.
Both are doing fantastic, very healthy, happy, and loved. We all could not be more pleased that we found each other and have been so blessed with wonderful family and pets this holiday season. My hope for the new year is that many more wonderful pets from PAWS will find loving and happy homes in 2011. Also, we hope you enjoy our Christmas card we sent to you!
Happy Holidays,
Michelle, Jack, and Annie Laning
