Ronan is a brave, loveable Beagle who was transferred from an over-crowded shelter to PAWS Chicago. While we don’t know much about his past, it is clear that Ronan has been through a lot. Besides becoming homeless at the age of five, he may not have been well-socialized when he was young, as Ronan can be wary of people he doesn’t know, and tends to be frightened in new, unfamiliar situations.
Ronan would be perfect for an adults-only home with a family who has experience with dogs, especially Beagles. He is great with other dogs (including the two Chihuahua mixes in his foster home) and would love to join a family with another friendly pooch! He loves food, although his new adopters should keep him on a healthy diet and exercise routine to avoid excessive weight gain. Typical to his breed, Ronan loves to inspect everything carefully with his curious nose, so he likes to take long, relaxing walks.
Will you give him the second chance he is hoping for?
