Take one look at Ignatius in his profile photo and you can just see the look in his eyes, that he can’t wait to find a forever home.

Ignatius, or Iggy, as his foster affectionately called him, is a laidback gentleman. This 7-year-old tuxedo loves to follow you around the house and will curl up on a fuzzy blanket at your feet. He’s very quiet, only meowing when you open a new can of food. But on weekends, his foster said he loves to sleep in and seems to adjust to your individual sleep schedule!

Ignatius was briefly adopted but unfortunately it wasn’t the best match with the resident animal and the adopters sadly returned him to find his forever home. His family said he is a very outgoing, playful guy and plays well with others but enjoys playing independently just as much. He will chase a toy for a good ½ hour if uninterrupted. There are times that he will just run around chirping with joy from room to room. He’s in love with “chase the string” and enjoys showing you his high jump skills. Once he gets comfortable with you, he will lay with you until you move to get up but just invite him back and he will come lay again. He is very happy to sleep at your feet all night long and has been doing this with us since day one. He enjoys a good scratch around his neck but doesn’t like to be petted for long.

When guests come over, Ignatius doesn’t shy away from attention and greets everyone in the room! He is so mild-mannered, he even welcomes dogs into his home!
