Rescuer Information: Lisa Ward and Toni McNaughton
Lisa Ward and Toni McNaughton have been PAWS volunteers since 1998, when
they reached out to Paula Fasseas after hearing about the very first
Angels With Tails adoption event, held in May of that year.
In conjunction with Angels With Tails, Paula had also made available,
for weekend adoptions, an empty storefront adjacent to a North Community
Bank location in Lincoln Park. Lisa and Toni approached Paula to
propose that this Lincoln Park location be open for adoptions seven days
a week, versus just on weekends. Paula generously agreed to their
proposal, asking Lisa and Toni to manage the location, now known as the
PAWS Chicago Cat Adoption Center.
Lisa and Toni, along with the tireless assistance of many other
dedicated volunteers, ran the Center from July 1998 to December of 2004.
Since that time, they have continued to work on a variety of other
rescue projects, with spay/neuter assistance from the PAWS Lurie Family
Clinic.
When not engaged in rescue work, Toni is a representative for commercial
photographers, and Lisa is an Associate in the Chicago Office of Spencer
Stuart, a global executive search firm.
