PAWS Chicago Community Supporters

PAWS Chicago relies on the community to broaden awareness about the plight of homeless pets in Chicago. Community support is vital to the progression of the PAWS mission: to end the killing of homeless cats and dogs.

PAWS Chicago would like to thank the following supporters for their efforts:

Direct Marketing Agency, Digitas held their third annual "dbay" auction to raise money for PAWS Chicago. The Digitas conference room was transformed into an exciting auction house. Digitas employees gathered a variety of auction items which raised $5,450. As we continue to adopt and spay/neuter more pets, this fund raiser helps our life-saving work to save homeless pets. A special thank you to Lauren Brooks for planning this annual event.

Barbara Rosenberg's First Grade students at Middlefork School in Northfield, Illinois toured the PAWS Chicago Adoption & Humane Center. They raised $494 for the pets by doing chores around the house for their family. The students presented their donations to Deborah Chapman, Director of Development and Sharyn Hosemann, Volunteer Program Manager. Thank you to these dedicated students at Middlefork School for their annual fund raising event for the pets at PAWS Chicago.

Simon's Shine Shop in Lincoln Park held their 3rd annual dog and car wash to benefit PAWS Chicago on Sunday, August 5th. PAWS volunteers were on hand to wash the dogs and give them facials and mini massages. There is nothing better than a clean dog and a clean car! Thank you Simon's Shine Shop for hosting this annual fund raising event to help us save lives of Chicago's homeless pets.

Many thanks to the Stay Dog Hotel for organizing the 2nd Flealess Market at Stay on March 25, 2007, which raised $800 to benefit PAWS Chicago. Our sincere gratitude goes to Randy DesNoyers and Heidi Hunt , exceptional PAWS Chicago volunteers who participated in the event with Midnight, where they found her forever home.

In honor of ASPCA day on April 10th, Jewel employees at the 4250 N. Lincoln Ave. location held a fundraising event outside of the store with 100% of all funds donated going to PAWS Chicago. The employees raised $800 through a bake sale with both human and animal treats and through a raffle of 28 donated items. This was the second year Jewel held an event to raise funds for PAWS Chicago, and we are very grateful for the generous support and dedication of the Jewel staff at 4250 and the support of the community.

Kindergarteners from Northfield's Middle Fork School performed chores as a service project to raise support for PAWS animals.  The kids raised $177 and were personally thanked by 10-week-old Kennedy, a border collie mix up for adoption at PAWS."

Aubrey Rugo raised $1,000 in pledges for the Run for Their Lives event.  She sent out flyers to friends and family that said "Donating to PAWS Chicago is saving a dog or cat's life and making Chicago a no-kill city."

Here is Aubrey with her dog, Kayla, at the Run for Their Lives event.  Thank you for your support, Aubrey in helping us raise money for Chicago's homeless pets.
